John Althouse

John brings 10 years of experience in tax optimization to his role on the tax compliance team at Frost Law. He has a proven track record of helping businesses reduce their tax burden, with a particular focus on leveraging R&D tax credits. Throughout his career, John has identified and secured hundreds of millions of dollars in tax savings for a diverse range of clients, from Fortune 100 companies to small businesses. His industry experience spans various sectors, including government contracting, software development, aerospace and defense, manufacturing, financial services, construction, telecom, hospitality, and agriculture.  John's ability to identify opportunities and develop pragmatic solutions for clients makes him a valuable addition to Frost Law.

Prior to joining Frost Law, John held senior tax positions at a Big Four CPA firm and a national CPA firm. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Furman University, as well as graduate degrees in Law from George Mason University and Accountancy from George Washington University. He is a licensed CPA in Washington, D.C.  Originally from Virginia Beach, John now resides in Northern Virginia, where he enjoys spending time with his daughter, attending sporting events and concerts, and visiting the beach.
